HubPeople
The white-label platform behind many of the world’s dating apps.
About HubPeople
HubPeople has been building the white-label platform behind dating and social apps since 2005, from the Isle of Man. Its partners run apps with a combined 100 million users worldwide, by the company’s own count, and its latest turn is AI: Hubbi, a tool that builds an app from one prompt.

Twenty years running behind other people’s brands. At the Partner Conference, the company has a face.
Invisible for twenty years, on purpose
HubPeople is invisible on purpose. White-label means the partner’s brand goes on the front and yours stays in the engine room, and after twenty years of that there is very little public footage of who these people actually are. Twice a year the company flies in its top partners, and for a few days the platform has faces, opinions and a room.
That is worth capturing properly, because nothing else does this job. A partner deciding whether to build on the platform, a possible hire, anyone sizing up the company behind Hubbi: they all want the same look at the people they would be dealing with.
Palma, Spring 2026
The Spring 2026 Partner Conference happened in Palma de Mallorca, with sessions on winning in 2026 and a first look at Hubbi 3.0. HubPeople is a direct retainer client: my filmmaking partner in Portugal covers the event on the ground, and I direct the story and build the films.
The agenda, however good, is never the film. We shoot for texture: the city from the air, the workshop mid-discussion, the dinners, and the whole group in front of Palma Cathedral. A recap without human moments is a screensaver.
Made to work long after the event
The event lasts a few days; the content gets used all year. It shows up in partner conversations, on the company’s socials, in recruiting, and in the room whenever someone asks who is actually behind the platform. The main film is cut to hold up months later; the social versions are cut for the week after, while attendees are still tagging each other.
For a company built to stay behind other brands, this film is the public proof of who they are.
